Is the death of Francis Reid an omen that Days of our lives is coming to an end?

First they get rid of the Horton set which was really sad cause it was used since the very first episode that aired on 1965 then they kill off Mickey Horton who was one of the original cast members and now comes the death of Francis Reid which will mean the death of Alice Horton so now Days has no more connection to its past. I still wish that they would have kept the Horton set, they could just have had Hope and Bo move in there.
