Why do people hate or love hipster?

i mean, i love the style and have been trying to become like that before i even knew what hipster was... i'm not going to go smoke a pipe or anything and i find coffee to be repulsive but, i feel very attracted to that style. Plus, i am a hard core liberal and very pionate about things. And, i love thrift stores and all that.. what do you feel about "being hipster"? and, please don't be rude. That's their choice in life style not your's.
