Red nail varnish been spilt on carpet?

i have accidentally kicked my friends red nail varnish over onto her white carpet and cannot seem to remove it have tried her nail varnish remover and white spirits but that isn't working have been scrubbing it for ages and now starting to get annoyed does anyone have any ideas on what else i can try?
