Why do the Mormons say:?

If you take some truth and mingle it with a lie then its some truth mingled with a lie, which is a whole lot more friendly when your proselyting than saying your church is the of all the earth, which is not true, other churches and other religions have taken the light they have and they have done great things in this world for the betterment of mankind.
